GIRL'S BEDROOM

Twin Peak SFO- Home Bar
This beautiful modern home in Twin peak, San Francisco was a turn key home for the first time home buyers Arjun and Sowmya Mukherjee. All they needed was a home bar to entertain their guests.
When an eccentric client wants a home bar, I work along with him to bring his wackiest ideas to reality by amalgamating both our visions. This was such a fun project where we had the perfect nook in the living room that had all the potential to become a bar.
Arjun wanted a very moody dark/black bar in that area. After identifying many cabinet materials, we narrowed down on the glossy finish. After much discussion we decided on glossy indigo blue cabinets and not black , for many logistical issues. I'm glad we went the blue as this color flows well with the rest of the house and also stands off on its own.
I decided to bring some of his black bar ideas, by installing a black quartz counter to ceiling wall which became the highlight of the bar. We then matched the wall paint to the cabinets and painted it ceiling to floor, to make this room completely separated from the rest of the living room space. The blue indigo glossy tall cabinets, eternal noir- black quartz, wood floating shelves, Benjamin Moore Gentlemen's gray wall paint, and copper island light fixtures finished the look of this beautiful bar which turned out just stunning. Pictures do not do justice, I have added a small video too. Enjoy!
