From Research Scientist to Design-Driven Investor:

The Mulberri House Story

Every house has a story, and every transformation begins with an unconventional perspective.

My journey into real estate investment and interior design wasn't traditional—it was an exhilarating adventure fueled by an eagerness to embrace life’s biggest opportunities. Before founding Mulberri House, my background was rooted in scientific research. I approached the world through data, analytical problem-solving, and precise execution.

That scientific lens met its ultimate creative catalyst when my husband, Yogi, and I acquired a historic building in Newton, Massachusetts. The structure was a unique architectural challenge: an 1800s house that was converted into French spa. Driven by our quest to turn this complex space into a beautiful, functional family home amidst a highly competitive market, I stepped into the roles of project manager, historic preservationist, and designer.

Uncovering a deep-seated passion for repurposing, restoring, and structural reimagining, we completely revitalized the historic property. The remarkable transformation allowed us to exit the property at an impressive premium—proving that meticulous design intervention directly drives massive real estate equity.

A New Chapter in the East Bay

Driven by that success and a search for warmer weather and fresh opportunities, we relocated to Northern California. Today, as the Founder of Mulberri House based in the beautiful East Bay, I specialize in buying older homes with hidden potential and transforming them into modern masterpieces that respect their historic roots.

Because I control both the investment analytics and the design studio, Mulberri House operates with a rare efficiency. We don't just flip houses; we restore neighborhoods, protect investor margins, and deliver predictable excellence to our capital partners and real estate networks.

"I fundamentally believe that high-end design should be accessible, intentional, and purposeful. Everyone should incorporate deliberate design into their homes, as true aesthetics foster discipline, harmony, and profound joy for you and your family."
— Supriya Shekar, Founder & Principal Designer
